PLACERVILLE, CA (March 15, 2024) – The El Dorado County Department of Transportation, in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration’s Central Federal Lands Highway Division, announces plans for the commencement of the Ice House Road Phase 2 Rehabilitation Project. This endeavor, scheduled to unfold from May 2024 through November 2024, aims to enhance the infrastructure along Ice House Road, stretching from the intersection of Peavine Ridge Road to the junction of Wentworth Springs Road within the Eldorado National Forest.

The forthcoming construction endeavors will necessitate lane closures, anticipated to result in maximum delays of up to 30 minutes during daytime hours and up to 60 minutes at night, Monday through Friday. These temporary closures are indispensable to ensure the safety of both motorists and construction personnel as the project unfolds.
