Cameron Park (April 20, 2024) –

In the heart of Burke Junction, where dreams take flight,
The Stage awaits, bathed in the soft glow of twilight.
Sue McMahon, with passion strong, her vision unfurled,
A dream realized, a poetry show for the world.

The Blue Sky Earth Day Poetry Festival, a tale to tell,
A gathering of wordsmiths, where stories swell.
Local poets, their verses like rivers flowing free,
Painting pictures of the Earth, for all to see.

On this stage of dreams, where emotions dance,
Each word a brushstroke, in a poetic trance.
From the depths of the soul, tales of wonder unfold,
In the hearts of the audience, a story told.

But amidst the poetry, a musical delight,
Paul Godwin’s melodies, soaring to new heights.
His guitar strings whisper, the Earth’s song divine,
Echoing the beauty of this planet, so fine.

As the night draws near, and stars begin to gleam,
The audience departs, with a renewed esteem.
For in the words and music, they found a treasure,
A deeper love for Earth, a bond to forever measure.

So let us cherish this planet, this home we all share,
With poetry as our guide, let’s show that we care.
For in the Blue Sky Earth Day Poetry Festival’s glow,
We find inspiration, to let our love for Earth grow.
