El Dorado County (July 3, 2024) – In a delightful blend of tradition and philanthropy, the Placerville Shakespeare Club recently hosted an Afternoon Tea to honor five of its nine 2024 scholarship winners. The event, held at the club’s historic Bedford Avenue clubhouse, brought together the scholarship recipients, their families, and club members for a memorable gathering.

Celebrating the Future

Front and center, the scholarship winners Giulietta Dean, Francesca Stickler, Kallysta Rodriguez, Dalia Lopez, and Jasmyn Loera shared their aspirations and future plans with the club members. Joining them were Scholarship Chair Betty Ackley and Club President Lisbeth Powell, who proudly introduced the young scholars to the attendees.

The scholarship recipients come from various high schools in the area, each with distinct educational goals:

  • Catherine Koberlein (Charter University Prep) aims to specialize in special education.
  • Francesca Strickler (Oak Ridge High School) is set on a path to medical school.
  • Katelyn Harnden (Ponderosa High School) aspires to become an elementary educator.
