This conviction is the culmination of a comprehensive investigation by CAL FIRE Law Enforcement, the U.S. Forest Service’s Law Enforcement and Investigations Office, the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office, and the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.

The Mosquito Fire ignited in the early evening hours of August 6 near Mosquito Road but was swiftly contained. Later that night, the Crozier Fire erupted near Crozier Road, ultimately consuming 1,960 acres in El Dorado County. Investigators determined that both fires were intentionally set, leading to Robinette’s arrest and subsequent conviction.
