EL DORADO HILLS, CA — Ian Book, a native of El Dorado Hills and alumnus of Oak Ridge High School, has achieved the pinnacle of professional football by securing a Super Bowl championship as a backup quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles triumphed over the Kansas City Chiefs with a decisive 40-22 victory in Super Bowl LIX, held at the Caesars Superdome on February 9, 2025.
Book’s journey from local high school standout to NFL champion is a testament to his dedication and talent. After a record-setting collegiate career at Notre Dame, where he became the winningest quarterback in the school’s history, Book entered the NFL and eventually found his place with the Eagles.
