EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. – After a 75-year hiatus, the California Nevada Interscholastic Ski and Snowboard Federation (CNISSF) High School Championships are set to return to Sierra-at-Tahoe from March 2 to 6, 2025. The event will bring together over 300 skiers and snowboarders from 29 schools across California and Nevada. ​

“We are honored to welcome the next generation of competitive high school ski and snowboard athletes to Sierra-at-Tahoe,” said Dan Healy, General Manager of Sierra-at-Tahoe. “Hosting the state championships after almost 75 years is a testament to our resort’s dedication to fostering young talent and celebrating the spirit of competition.” ​

Competitors will participate in Giant Slalom and Slalom events, vying for individual and team honors. Defending champions include Mammoth High School for skiing, North Tahoe High School for snowboarding, and local favorite El Dorado High School, aiming for their fourth consecutive combined title. ​

Spectators are encouraged to attend and support the athletes. Walking spectators receive free admission but must sign a liability form upon arrival. ​
