Donor Highlight: Jim Coate

“For over 20 years, Jim Coate has been a pillar of support for youth in El Dorado County — and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Many know him as Mr. Coate, the beloved teacher from Markham Middle School whose classroom left a lasting impression on all of his students. But Jim’s impact doesn’t stop there — he’s also been a dedicated Board Member of the Boys & Girls Club since our very beginning in 1999!

Jim’s wisdom, heart for service, and unwavering commitment have helped guide our Club through decades of growth. And now, as we look ahead to building our new Sports Complex & Teen Center, we’re so thankful to have his insight on the journey.

Thank you, Jim, for being such a big part of our story — and for continuing to believe in the power of great futures. “
