El Dorado Hills, Calif. — Steve White, a longstanding figure in Oak Ridge High School’s athletic department, has announced his resignation from his roles as athletic director and math teacher. White, who has been instrumental in shaping the school’s athletic programs, will continue to serve as an assistant coach for the girls’ basketball team.
White’s departure from administrative and teaching positions marks the end of an era for Oak Ridge High School. Under his leadership, the school’s athletic programs have seen significant growth and success. Notably, White has achieved over 700 victories as the head coach of the girls’ basketball team, a record in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section .
In a statement, White expressed his commitment to the school’s athletic community:
“While I am stepping down from my roles as athletic director and teacher, I remain dedicated to the success of our student-athletes and will continue to support them as an assistant coach.”
