Placerville, CA – On February 14, 2025, Joshua Caleb Black was sentenced to 16 years in state prison after pleading guilty to human trafficking of a minor and possession of child pornography. The sentencing marks a significant victory in El Dorado County’s ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking.

The El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office announced the sentencing, emphasizing their commitment to protecting vulnerable populations from exploitation. In a statement, District Attorney Vern Pierson said, “This conviction sends a clear message that human trafficking will not be tolerated in our community.”
