Police Blotter: Trouble Before Sunrise, Calls After Dark
It started just after one in the morning on Garden Circle, Cameron Park — a suspicious subject report that vanished before deputies arrived.
By 4 a.m., trespassers were on the lot at Mercedes Benz of El Dorado Hills, but like ghosts in the dark, they too were gone on arrival.
A grim call came at 8:39 a.m. from Miztec Street in South Lake Tahoe — a dead person discovered; detectives logged the report.
Midmorning saw the usual uptick: a string of identity thefts from Cool to El Dorado, a battery at Herbert Green School, and a missing person case out of Garden Valley.
By early afternoon, the county hummed with civil standbys, grand thefts, and one reported burglary in Rescue — all logged, all routine.
Evening shadows brought fresh tension — a battery on Mystic Mine Road in Somerset, another at a Cameron Park retirement home, and a trespass on Faith Lane that drew deputies twice.
The day wound down with reports of loiterers, suspicious vehicles, and late-night oddities: one at the Wells Fargo in Cameron Park, another outside the Placerville McDonald’s.
At 11:17 p.m. on Pollock Avenue, a repossession closed out the log — the last chapter in another long Tuesday in El Dorado County.
