EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. — Families across El Dorado County are expected to fill the El Dorado Hills Town Center on Saturday, Dec. 6, as the community’s annual Christmas Celebration returns with music, activities and the traditional arrival of Santa Claus.

The event runs from 4 to 8 p.m. and features a merchant open house, holiday performances and the popular Stuff Your Stocking activity, where children collect small gifts from participating shops. The Holy Trinity Choir and a live band in the Theater Plaza will provide entertainment throughout the evening, creating what organizers describe as a “true hometown holiday atmosphere.”

Santa is scheduled to arrive aboard a fire engine at approximately 6:30 p.m. to light the community Christmas tree — a longtime favorite moment for local families. “This celebration is one of the most cherished traditions in El Dorado Hills,” Town Center management said in a prepared statement. “It brings our community together at the start of the holiday season and helps support neighbors in need.”

The celebration also marks the launch of the Holiday Heroes Food and Toy Drive, benefiting the El Dorado County Food Bank and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Residents are encouraged to bring nonperishable foods and new, unwrapped toys to donation stations located throughout the Town Center.
