PLACERVILLE, Calif. — El Dorado County’s esteemed wineries are gearing up for the 34th Annual Passport Weekend, scheduled for April 26-27, 2025. This celebrated event offers wine enthusiasts an opportunity to explore over 20 family-owned wineries, each presenting unique experiences that highlight the region’s mountain-grown wines.​

Teena Hildebrand, President of the El Dorado Winery Association, emphasized the event’s significance:​

“We love sharing the vast array of El Dorado mountain-grown wines, grown in unique and diverse microclimates at high elevations. This versatility makes up our amazing wine growing region.” ​

Diverse Offerings from Participating Wineries

Wineries across the region are curating special events and pairings to enhance the Passport experience:​

  • Boeger Winery will offer a selection of wines, including unique high-elevation varietals and curated library selections, accompanied by charcuterie boxes. Reservations are required for this experience.

  • Bumgarner Winery’s Camino location plans a Country Fair theme, featuring wines and hard ciders paired with apple donuts, gourmet popcorn, and hand-dipped corn dogs. ​

  • Holly’s Hill Vineyard invites guests to enjoy artisanal pizzas crafted by Winemaker Josh, paired with estate-grown Rhône wines, including innovative offerings like Dry-Hopped Viognier and Frizzante Vermentino. ​

  • Skinner Vineyards & Winery promises breathtaking views of Fair Play, live music on the patio, and tastings of unique Rhône varietals accompanied by fig jam crostini and sausage bites. ​
