Diamond Springs, Calif. — El Dorado County pet owners can get free vaccinations and microchips for their dogs and cats on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, when the El Dorado Humane Society and partners host a community clinic at El Dorado County Animal Services in Diamond Springs.
The clinic runs 9 a.m. to noon at El Dorado County Animal Services, 6435 Capitol Avenue, and will provide DAPP and rabies vaccines and microchipping (with registration) for dogs and HCP and rabies vaccines and microchipping (with registration) for cats. Organizers say no pre-registration is required, but the event is limited to El Dorado County residents and breeders will not be served. All dogs must be on a secure leash and all cats must be in a carrier.
“This program is organized & funded by the El Dorado County Humane Society & Animal Outreach hosts & performs the services,” the shelter’s event post says, noting sponsorship support from community partners. Petco’s national Petco Love vaccine program has supported similar free clinics across the country, helping boost vaccine access for thousands of pets.
Why this matters locally
Rabies vaccination and microchipping reduce disease risk and improve the chance pets are returned if lost. County animal services encourages owners who plan to attend to arrive early and to follow the leash-and-carrier rules for safety and efficiency.
