El Dorado County (Oct 13, 2024) – If you’re looking to stay informed on the latest in forest management, mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 16th. The Amador-El Dorado Forest Forum will host Andrew Mishler, the newly appointed Placerville District Ranger on the Eldorado National Forest. The event will be held at the Golden Dragon Restaurant, 1341 Broadway, Placerville.

Andrew Mishler’s arrival as Placerville’s District Ranger comes at a critical time, as the region continues to recover from the devastating Caldor Fire. His presentation will focus on his background, experience, and vision for managing the Placerville Ranger District, with a particular emphasis on post-fire recovery efforts. Expect to hear updates on the Caldor Fire Restoration Project, including the next steps and the timeline for its implementation. Mishler will also discuss the opportunities and challenges the Forest Service faces heading into the new fiscal year, as well as how budgetary changes may affect their programs.
