PLACERVILLE, Calif. — Placerville Speedway is set to ignite the 2025 racing season with the highly anticipated Nor*Cal Posse Shootout and Legends Weekend on Friday and Saturday, May 2–3. This two-night spectacle, presented by Berco Redwood, promises exhilarating dirt track action and a tribute to the sport’s rich heritage

The event will feature Winged 360 Sprint Cars and the Ultimate Sprint Car Series, drawing top-tier drivers from across the region. As part of the speedway’s 60th-anniversary celebrations, Legends Weekend will honor racing icons, including a special appearance by National Sprint Car Hall of Famer Jimmy Sills, who will take to the track in a vintage sprint car.​

“The Nor*Cal Posse Shootout is an event that we continue to try and build each season,” said Placerville Speedway Promoter Scott Russell. “We’ve seen some great racing all season long and should be in for a can’t-miss weekend at the shootout.”

Event Schedule and Ticket Information:

  • Grandstands Open: 3:00 p.m.

  • Pill Draw Cut-Off: 4:15 p.m.

  • Drivers Meeting: 4:30 p.m.

  • Racing Begins: 6:30 p.m.​

Ticket Prices:

  • Adults: $25

  • Juniors (ages 12–17), Seniors (60+), Military: $22

  • Children (ages 6–11): $10

  • Children 5 and under: Free​

Reserved seating is in effect for both nights. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the official Placerville Speedway website: placervillespeedway.com.

For those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed live via CaliDirt.TV, offering fans a chance to experience the excitement remotely

Placerville Speedway, located at 100 Placerville Drive, continues to be a cornerstone of El Dorado County’s motorsport culture, celebrating six decades of thrilling dirt track racing. ​InEDC
