South Lake Tahoe, Ken Skibum Curtzwiler (1-9-24, 1:04 pm) –

This morning I presented an alternative to the various taxation schemes the city has going right now. The ball is in their court now. Anybody that feels that Heavenly Mountain aka Heavenly Vailly. Should pay their fair share of taxes to help the community that they have changed forever. Now would be a good time for City Residents to speak up. I live in The County so The Council does not see me as a voter that can help them get elected. I am willing to stand on a corner and collect signatures to get something on the ballot. The City can just put it on as a question to pursue if they so desire.

TAXES

INSTEAD OF SPENDING MONEY ON A CONSULTANT TO DETERMINE IF A TAX HIKE ON RESIDENTS, VISITORS AND SECOND HOMEOWNERS. WHICH WE ALL KNOW WILL FAIL.

THE TOWN OF BRECKENRIDGE APPROVED AN ORDANANCE APPROVING THE COLLECTION OF A LIFT TICKET TAX VOTED THROUGH A BALLOT MEASURE.

THE TAX WOULD BE LEVIED FROM DAILY OR MULTI-DAY BRECKENRIDGE LIFT TICKETS AND BE USED TO FUND TRANSPORTATION EFFORT THROUGHOUT THE TOWN.
