CAMERON PARK, Calif. (Feb. 28, 2025) — The Food Bank of El Dorado County, in partnership with the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, is enhancing its Elder Outreach Program to better serve seniors in need. This initiative provides bi-monthly distributions of nutrient-dense food boxes to eligible individuals aged 60 and above across multiple counties, including El Dorado, Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, and Amador.
“Our collaboration aims to ensure that our elders receive the nutrition they deserve,” said a representative from the Food Bank of El Dorado County. “We are committed to supporting our senior community members through these challenging times.”
The next drive-thru distribution is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 4550 Business Drive, Cameron Park. Seniors meeting the income guidelines are encouraged to participate.
