SHINGLE SPRINGS, Calif. — Firefighters from the El Dorado County Fire Protection District responded to an alarm activation at Ponderosa High School, 3661 Ponderosa Road, just before 11 a.m. on Monday, November 10. The alert originated in a server room where an electrical fault was suspected.

Upon arrival, crews found no visible fire or signs of combustion, yet remained on the scene to assist with diagnostics and ensure safety. “We evacuated students out of an abundance of caution,” said a district spokesperson. School officials confirmed there were no injuries and no fire damage.
