El Dorado County (Oct 28, 2024) – Golden Entertainment, Inc. has announced the promotion of Skylar Dice to senior vice president and general manager of The STRAT Hotel, Casino and SkyPod, a Las Vegas icon famous for its 1,149-foot observation tower. With more than 20 years in the hospitality and gaming industry, Dice is now responsible for leading The STRAT’s expansive operations, which include a 2,427-room hotel, an 80,000-square-foot casino, and one of the most recognizable attractions on the Las Vegas Strip.

Dice joined The STRAT in 2021 as vice president and assistant general manager, where he played a key role in day-to-day management and in enhancing the property’s reputation as a premier destination. Blake Sartini II, Golden Entertainment’s executive vice president and COO, expressed confidence in Dice’s promotion, noting his “exceptional leadership and operational expertise.” According to Sartini, Dice has proven he can “enhance the guest experience while driving growth across all areas of the property.”

Dice’s background in the gaming sector includes several management positions across major casinos. Before joining The STRAT, he served as vice president and general manager of Golden Entertainment’s Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Maryland, where he led the operations of the AAA Four Diamond Hotel and the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, while focusing on community outreach and team recognition. His industry experience began in 1997 as a dealer at Turtle Creek Casino in Michigan, leading to management roles at Greektown Casino-Hotel in Detroit, Four Winds Casinos in Indiana, and Red Hawk Casino in California.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dice holds a business management degree from the University of Maryland Global. Outside the gaming floor, he and his wife, Jennifer, are actively involved in youth sports and educational causes. Dice’s new role at The STRAT reflects Golden Entertainment’s confidence in his ability to guide the landmark property into a new era of guest experience and growth.
