At around 7:50 a.m. on June 7, Giada Lancellotti was crossing Lake Tahoe Boulevard with her e‑bike when an Acura MDX struck her. She was ejected into a snow marker, revived at the scene, and taken to the hospital, but tragically succumbed to her injuries the next day. The community is deeply saddened, with school counseling made available and a spot designated for tributes. CHP is investigating and is seeking witnesses.

Firefighters revived Giada at the scene, then she was rushed to Barton Memorial Hospital with severe, life-threatening injuries
