“We like to say we are small but mighty. Our recipient list is a who’s who of celebrities, politicians, and even presidents, all stemming from this unassuming studio.”

Housed in a tiny yellow building in Placerville, the Bennett Awards team has been honing their craft for over 50 years, and their latest endeavor for the Kelce brothers has propelled them into the limelight.

Jason and Travis discovered Bennett Awards on social media and were quick to commission a unique trophy for their popular podcast, “New Heights.” Drawing inspiration from iconic sports trophies like the Stanley Cup and the NFL trophy, the Golden Baby was conceived. Mollee Johnston from Bennett Awards elaborated,

“Jason Kelce’s vision was truly inspired, and we wanted to bring it to life.”

Amidst the Super Bowl fervor, the Kelce brothers eagerly unveiled the Golden Baby to their podcast fans. Jason Kelce exclaimed on the podcast, “Feast your eyes on the new Heights Trophy, the Golden Baby! Isn’t it glorious?” The trophy’s significance lies in its origin, as Jason Kelce’s request for a cast bronze baby stems from an early career experience where he signed a baby, symbolizing his achievement.

Designer Ryan Rivas revealed, “The story is simple. He was asked to sign a baby, he did, and he knew he made it.” Every detail of the Golden Baby, excluding the face, was meticulously modeled after Jason Kelce’s daughter, Bennett, adding a personal touch to this extraordinary creation.

Expressing their awe, the Kelce brothers praised Bennett Awards for their six months of dedicated work in bringing the 100-pound Golden Baby to life. Travis Kelce commended,

“I have to give you a round of applause. You outdid yourself. This is unbelievable.”

The Placerville studio’s discreet excellence is now in the national spotlight, thanks to the Golden Baby’s Super Bowl Sunday debut.
