MOTHERLODE, Calif. —
Residents of El Dorado County can expect a steady warming trend under clear skies this week, with daytime temperatures rising from the low 80s into the mid-90s by the weekend, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Sacramento.

On Monday, expect sunny skies with highs ranging from 81°F to 91°F. Winds will remain light in the morning before shifting to a southwest breeze up to 10 mph during the afternoon. The evening will remain clear, with overnight lows between 54°F and 62°F, and light winds returning.

Tuesday and Wednesday will follow a similar pattern, with sunny skies and highs between 80°F and 91°F. West winds up to 10 mph in the afternoon will offer some relief, but overnight temperatures will remain mild, hovering between 56°F and 63°F.

The heat will continue to build Thursday through Sunday, when highs are expected to reach between 82°F and 95°F, and lows stay in the upper 50s to mid-60s. No precipitation is in the forecast, and the consistent sunshine may increase drying in local vegetation, which could heighten fire danger later in the week.

“While this pattern brings perfect weather for outdoor plans, we encourage residents to remain fire-aware, especially with the rising heat and very dry air,”

said Diana Fredlund, meteorologist with the National Weather Service Sacramento office, in a Monday morning update.

The clear skies and moderate winds should provide pleasant conditions for hiking, vineyard visits, or local events, but residents are advised to take basic precautions: wear sun protection, stay hydrated, and avoid peak heat hours when possible.
