A late-night sweep through South Lake Tahoe filled the jail log with drunks, blades and domestic violence collars. James Otis Goldsby Jr. was picked up near Highway 50 and Highway 89 at The Y on dual DUI counts after CHP rolled the stop just past 11 p.m. Rochele Le Ane Mcnamee landed in cuffs after a simple battery arrest on Council Rock Drive shortly after 1 a.m. Michael Wayne Baker was arrested on Manzanita Avenue carrying a concealed dirk or dagger while also allegedly holding narcotics. Earlier in Luther Pass, Andrew Glabek was booked on a felony probation violation after deputies reeled him back in before nightfall. The mountain towns kept deputies and local police moving from dusk to dark, one booking after another under the cold fluorescent lights of county intake. Steel, booze and probation paper stacked the South Shore docket. Another long night in the basin.

Main Street Trouble After Midnight
Placerville’s Main Street produced the hardest knot in the blotter after deputies stopped Jonathan Christopher Grant just after 1 a.m. Deputies say Grant was driving on a suspended license tied to prior DUI offenses while allegedly carrying controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Two probation violation counts pushed the total bail to $22,000. Hours later at 78 Main Street, Brooke Aileen Greer was booked on felony child abuse allegations alongside a DUI arrest and probation violation, driving bail to $57,000. Deputies also arrested Ariel Joseph Hillenbrand at Industrial Drive on a simple battery charge before noon. By nightfall, Main Street had produced drugs, booze, probation paper and felony allegations — the kind of lineup old crime editors called “a full moon docket.”

Elizabeth Ann Jones was later booked on North South Road on a misdemeanor domestic battery allegation with bail set at $7,500. Rural quiet doesn’t always stay quiet after dark. Deputies know the pattern — shouting, flashing lights, neighbors peeking through curtains and another ride to county jail. The backroads of El Dorado County stayed busy Monday.
