EL DORADO COUNTY — APRIL 4, 2026

POLICE BLOTTER SUMMARY (BY AREA)

South Lake Tahoe / Basin
The day broke early and rough in South Lake Tahoe, where deputies and city police kept busy along Pioneer Trail, Johnson Boulevard, and Gardner Street. Two arrests at Pioneer Trail and Echo Road flagged theft activity—one man booked on a felony shoplifting rap with priors, another tagged as a fugitive. A third collar came in on Johnson Boulevard, where a suspect was cited for contempt of court and public intoxication. By mid-afternoon, another DUI stop on Gardner Street added to the tally. Disorderly conduct tied to alcohol surfaced again before noon along Highway 50 near Navajo. The Basin logged one of the day’s heavier bail sheets, with theft and fugitive charges stacking up.

Placerville / West Slope
Placerville police picked up a driver on Broadway Drive just after midnight, booked for DUI. Out on La Canada Drive, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance that turned physical—three misdemeanor charges tied to battery and disabling a communication device. Farther west, Highway Patrol logged a DUI arrest along U.S. 50 with a suspended license, bail climbing to $14,500. The West Slope showed a pattern—alcohol, vehicles, and volatility.

Shingle Springs / Tribal Lands
Near Redhawk Parkway, a probation violation put one subject back in custody late Friday night. No bail set. A short report, but a familiar cycle—release, rearrest, repeat.
