Domestic Calls, Theft Reports and a Dead Body Keep Deputies Running Countywide
The radio never really cooled off Tuesday in El Dorado County. Deputies bounced from domestic violence calls in Placerville and Somerset to suspicious subjects haunting gas stations, schools and casino parking lots. A dead person report on Bear Rock Road added weight to an already ugly shift, while identity thieves kept working the hill communities from Pollock Pines to Shingle Springs. El Dorado Hills stayed noisy all day with vandalism, trespassing, suspicious vehicles and grand theft complaints piling up across the west slope suburb. Cameron Park deputies logged disturbances before sunrise and still found time for an arrest during a suspicious vehicle stop at a gas station on Cameron Park Drive. Search-and-rescue crews were pulled into the backcountry twice — once at Loon Lake and again near Mount Tallac — reminding everyone the Sierra can turn rough in a hurry. By nightfall, deputies were still answering battery calls in Cool, loitering complaints in Diamond Springs and suspicious activity around Placerville businesses. Another long day in the county books: too many calls, not enough quiet, and trouble moving steady from one end of the ridge to the other.
WEST SLOPE: EL DORADO HILLS & CAMERON PARK
El Dorado Hills kept deputies moving with vandalism on Molinetto Court, a trespassing complaint near Bass Lake Road, a grand theft report inside a mobile home park on White Rock Road and suspicious activity near schools on Blackstone Parkway and Tierra De Dios Drive. Cameron Park logged a pre-dawn verbal disturbance on Arthur Court before deputies later made an arrest during a suspicious vehicle stop at the 76 station on Cameron Park Drive. Another disturbance erupted at Marshall Medical Center late in the afternoon while suspicious subjects drifted through local gas stations and parking lots. The west slope suburbs stayed restless all day — arguments, prowlers, thefts and deputies chasing one hot call after another.

Domestic violence calls followed on Overland Way and Prairie Loop, while suspicious subjects surfaced near Missouri Flat Road businesses and Red Hawk Casino Hotel. In nearby Diamond Springs, deputies answered a civil standby, a noise complaint, a loitering report outside Bomb Shell and later cited a suspicious subject outside a business on Enterprise Drive. Shingle Springs deputies dealt with repossession paperwork, identity theft reports and suspicious vehicle activity near Business Drive. The corridor along Highway 50 stayed busy with civil disputes, domestic trouble and the usual parade of suspicious behavior after dark.

Camino saw ordinance enforcement in the morning and another disturbance call after dark on Braden Court.
