Purpose and Beneficiaries:

The Gold Country Kids event is a collaborative effort involving local sheriffs, businesses, and the Gun Owners of California. Funds raised will support programs that teach safe gun handling, promote youth shooting sports, and inspire law enforcement career exploration. Proceeds will benefit initiatives such as the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Explorer Program and Amador County’s A&A Shooters youth trap and skeet shotgun team.

Sheriff Gary Redman emphasized the event’s significance, stating,

“This year’s event will be held in El Dorado. Our plan is to hold this event in Amador next year. Each county will split the proceeds, which will go to the newly formed youth shooting sports programs.”
