El Dorado County Agricultural & Livestock Access Pass Program Opens Registration for 2024

In an effort to bolster disaster response capabilities and ensure the welfare of agricultural and livestock assets in El Dorado County, the annual Access Pass Program is set to kick off its registration for the year 2024. This initiative, facilitated by the collaborative efforts of the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources, County Government, and the United States Department of Agriculture, aims to empower commercial agricultural and livestock operators with essential access privileges during emergency situations.

Dates & Times:

  • May 8 and 29, 2024:
    • Annual Renewal for Existing Pass Holders: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    • New Pass Holder Training: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • May 30, 2024:
    • Annual Renewal for Existing Pass Holders: 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
    • New Pass Holder Training: 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Location: 311 Fair Lane, Placerville, CA 95667

Program Objectives:

The El Dorado County Agricultural & Livestock Access Pass Program is designed to grant authorized personnel access into evacuation zones during emergencies. This access enables operators to tend to crops, provide care for livestock, and offer crucial expertise to peace officers and emergency personnel, thereby safeguarding agricultural and livestock interests during crises.

Registration Process:

To obtain an access pass, interested operators are required to attend the mandatory training session. Existing pass holders must undergo annual renewal to maintain their access privileges. Registration can be completed online via the provided application links:

  • Access Pass Application
  • Liability Waiver for Agricultural Operators (must be notarized)
  • Liability Waiver for Livestock Operators
