He furthered his education by graduating from the FBI National Academy in 2013.

Ferrero has been a prominent figure in commerce, public safety, and civic matters within El Dorado County for many years. Since 2013, he and his wife have owned and operated a small business, which has expanded to include locations in El Dorado Hills and Cameron Park.

Before transitioning into business, Ferrero had a distinguished career with the California Highway Patrol (CHP). His tenure included significant outreach to residents and agencies across ten California counties, including El Dorado. As commander of the CHP East Sacramento Office, he collaborated with El Dorado County supervisors, schools, and homeowners’ groups to assess and address local safety needs.

In his role with the CHP, Ferrero also directed threat analysis and intelligence coordination for the State of California and coordinated the state’s Amber Alert Program. After 28 years of service, he retired from the CHP as a captain.

Ferrero’s vision for El Dorado County is straightforward: to make common-sense decisions that maintain and enhance the area’s quality of life, ensuring it remains a great place to live and raise a family. In his leisure time, he enjoys cycling, skiing, and fly fishing.
