A domestic violence call kicked off the day on Salmon Falls Road, the kind that leaves more questions than answers once the deputies clear the scene.
A string of suspicious-vehicle complaints ran through the county before dawn, with one stop near a Cameron Park McDonald’s ending in an arrest.
Deputies spent the morning stacking reports: a grand theft in Placerville, a battery case booked right at the jail, and an ordinance violation at a Georgetown gas station.
Civil squabbles jammed dispatch lines across Placerville and El Dorado Hills, each one a reminder that not all fights leave bruises.
Vandalism at a Montessori school added an odd wrinkle to the day, followed by loiterers, identity thieves, and the usual runaway trail of “unable to contact” outcomes.
By early afternoon the domestic violence cases came in pairs—first at Pine O Mine Ranch outside Placerville, then on Mira Loma Drive where an arrest followed.
Fraudsters, forgers, and loudmouths filled out the midday log, with deputies bouncing from Camino trespassers to backroad disturbances in Rescue.
The nightshift closed the books with petty thefts, more loud arguments, suspicious cars haunting dark cul-de-sacs, and a couple of noise complaints—quiet when deputies arrived, but never when they left.
