Sept. 13 when Music On The Divide brings pianist Jennifer Reason and violinist Naomi Rogers-Hefley back to the historic Odd Fellows Hall for an afternoon performance.

The concert is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Georgetown IOOF Hall, 6240 Main St., at the intersection of Main Street and Highway 193. Doors open at 2 p.m. for Music On The Divide members and advance online ticket holders. If tickets remain, door sales begin at 2:30 p.m.

Organizers have also added a new feature to the 2026 season: a possible 2:45 p.m. preshow featuring young musicians from the Divide.

The appearance marks a return engagement for Reason and Rogers-Hefley. Music On The Divide describes Reason as a vibrant and versatile pianist whose performance career has taken her across 15 states and 14 countries, with appearances that include Carnegie Hall, the Vatican and the Liszt Academy in Prague.

Reason’s career also extends well beyond the concert stage. She is the Midday Classical host for CapRadio and regularly highlights musicians from the Northern California region through the station’s programming. CapRadio’s biography says she has performed as a pianist, vocalist and director in 15 states and 14 countries, including European festivals, Carnegie Hall and St. Peter’s Basilica.

CapRadio also reports that Reason earned her piano performance degree from Sacramento State and has worked extensively as a performer, teacher, musical director and host. Her local performance work has included the Sacramento Philharmonic and Orchestra, Music Circus and the Rogue Music Project.

For Northern California audiences, her role as a musical ambassador may be just as significant as her international résumé. Through CapRadio’s Local Artist Feature, Reason has spent recent years spotlighting performers and composers from the region. In May, the program celebrated its 100th episode.

Rogers-Hefley brings a different but complementary musical background to the Georgetown stage. Music On The Divide identifies her as a modern and classical violinist with extensive European experience. The event listing describes her as a Baroque violinist and teacher whose performance work has also included Celtic music, jazz, folk, country and western swing.

Together, the musicians offer Georgetown audiences a concert that reaches beyond a single musical genre while remaining rooted in the classical tradition.

A Long-Running Georgetown Musical Tradition

Music On The Divide was founded in 1989 with a mission of providing quality concerts to the Georgetown Divide community and local schoolchildren while encouraging young people to develop their musical talents.

Over the years, the organization has presented performers representing jazz, folk, country, Cajun, Celtic, ragtime, pop and classical music.

The organization’s 2026 season reflects that broad approach. Following earlier performances by Mamajowali, Dave Stamey, the 32nd Annual Young Musicians Concert and Lacy J. Dalton, the season continues with Reason and Rogers-Hefley in September. Rita Hosking is scheduled for Oct. 25, followed by a Johnny Cash tribute featuring James Garner on Dec. 6.

The setting itself is part of the experience.

The Georgetown IOOF Hall, at 6240 Main St., provides an intimate community venue rather than the scale of a conventional concert hall. For residents of the Divide, that means an opportunity to hear touring and internationally experienced musicians without leaving El Dorado County.

Concert Details

Tickets are available online through Eventbrite, with admission listed at $25 for adults and $5 for students ages 12-18. Children 11 and younger are admitted free. Door purchases are cash only and are subject to availability.

Seating is open, with chairs and benches available. Refreshments will be served during intermission.

Music On The Divide recommends advance ticket purchases for those who want to enter with the online-ticket and member group when doors open at 2 p.m.

For residents looking for a Sunday afternoon cultural outing close to home, the Sept. 13 concert offers a combination of local tradition and international musical experience — all inside one of Georgetown’s historic gathering places.

More information about the concert and Music On The Divide’s remaining 2026 season is available through Music On The Divide and the Eventbrite concert listing.
