EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. — El Dorado Hills residents looking for a new way to customize their favorite soda will have a new option this fall.
FiiZ Drinks, a Utah-based specialty soda chain, is scheduled to hold the grand opening of its first California location Oct. 3, 2026, at El Dorado Hills Town Center.
The shop will occupy a 536-square-foot storefront at 4364 Town Center Blvd., Suite 108, a space previously occupied by GradePower Learning Centers. FiiZ’s arrival was first reported in June, when Town Center property manager Dawn Bricker confirmed the location and identified Danielle and Eloy Soto as the franchise operators.
The El Dorado Hills Town Center directory now lists FiiZ Drinks as a coming-soon tenant, confirming the franchise’s addition to the center’s dining lineup.
A customizable soda concept
FiiZ is part of the growing specialty-soda market built around highly customized beverages. Rather than simply choosing a fountain drink, customers can select a base and combine it with flavored syrups, fruits, purées, creams and other ingredients.
The company describes its concept as a modern take on the traditional soda fountain. FiiZ was founded in Bountiful, Utah, in 2014 and has expanded into a multistate franchise operation. The company says its menu offers more than 10,000 drink combinations.
FiiZ’s official website sums up the concept with the tagline, “Your Drink. Your Way.” Its menu includes customized sodas, savory snacks and sweets.
For customers who want something beyond carbonated soda, the menu also includes lemonade, water-based drinks, teas and energy-drink combinations. FiiZ has promoted combinations using Red Bull as part of its broader beverage lineup.
More than just “dirty sodas”
The term “dirty soda” generally refers to a conventional soda modified with additional flavors, fruit or creamy ingredients.
At FiiZ, that can mean taking a familiar drink such as Dr Pepper, Mountain Dew, Sprite or another fountain beverage and adding combinations of syrups, fruit purées and cream. The company also offers sugar-free syrup options and noncarbonated choices.
The result is a menu designed around experimentation rather than a single standard recipe.
For those who prefer not to build a drink from scratch, FiiZ also offers signature creations.
The company has described its menu as including hundreds of signature items in addition to its thousands of possible customized combinations.
A small storefront in a busy corridor
The El Dorado Hills FiiZ will be located in the heart of the Town Center retail district, near businesses including World Traveler Coffee Roasters and Brickyard Counter & Bar. The location places the new beverage shop among an established collection of restaurants, retailers and community services.
The storefront is considerably smaller than a traditional full-service restaurant, reflecting the beverage-focused nature of the FiiZ concept.
For El Dorado Hills, however, the significance is larger than the size of the space: the opening gives the national franchise its first foothold in California.
That makes the Oct. 3 grand opening a California debut for FiiZ and a new addition to the rapidly changing food-and-beverage mix at El Dorado Hills Town Center.
Part of a national expansion
FiiZ has been expanding rapidly beyond its Utah roots. In 2024, the company said it had more than 70 locations across 10 states and planned significant additional growth, including a goal of reaching hundreds of locations.
The company continues to describe itself as a specialty soda and snack franchise, combining customizable beverages with a menu of salty snacks and sweet treats.
Now that expansion is reaching El Dorado County.
The Town Center’s official directory currently lists FiiZ Drinks — Coming Soon, while the franchise’s El Dorado Hills location has been identified at 4364 Town Center Blvd.
For local residents, the Oct. 3 opening offers a distinctly modern take on an old-fashioned American ritual: going out for a soda.
Only this time, there are potentially 10,000 ways to order it.
Editor’s note: The Oct. 3 grand-opening date and details regarding the local franchise ownership are based on information supplied for this report and the previously reported El Dorado Hills location. Town Center and FiiZ public listings confirm the location and the coming-soon status; specific grand-opening hours or special promotions were not identified in the public sources reviewed.
