Barrel and Bliss Closes at El Dorado Hills Town Center

EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. — NOV. 6, 2026

Barrel and Bliss, an upscale wine bar that sought to bring curated wines, craft cocktails and a members-only experience to El Dorado Hills Town Center, has closed its doors after approximately 17 months in business.

The closure was reported Thursday, Nov. 5, by the Sacramento Business Journal. According to the publication, the establishment opened in June 2025 and has since shut down. The publication did not identify an exact closing date or provide an explanation for the business’s departure.

The closure marks the departure of another dining and hospitality concept from one of El Dorado Hills’ most recognizable commercial destinations. For residents who frequented Town Center for dining, shopping and community events, the loss means one fewer option for an evening out.

From boutique storefront to upscale wine bar

Barrel and Bliss took over the former Sassy Sapphire Boutique retail space at El Dorado Hills Town Center.

The concept was initially presented as a luxury wine bar, offering something beyond the traditional neighborhood wine-and-dine experience. Its June 2025 opening brought a combination of wine selections, craft cocktails, food, live music and a membership program.

The business described its vision as a neighborhood gathering place, stating on its website:

“Barrel and Bliss is your neighborhood gathering spot in El Dorado Hills. Great wine, live music, and a warm welcome every time.”

The establishment operated at 4359 Town Center Blvd., Suite 110, according to its website.

A wine club built around membership

One of the business’s distinguishing features was its monthly wine club, which was marketed at $60 per month.

Membership included:

  • Two curated bottles of wine selected each month.

  • A 10% discount on every visit to the bar.

  • A 20% discount on additional bottle purchases.

The concept combined a traditional wine bar with a subscription-style membership, giving customers an incentive to return regularly and explore wines selected by the business.

Its website also promoted live entertainment, craft beer, food and an atmosphere designed to appeal to both wine enthusiasts and casual visitors.

A presence in Town Center’s community events

Barrel and Bliss also participated in the broader Town Center business community.

The establishment appeared on the official lineup for the center’s Tastes of Town Center event, which brings local businesses together for an evening of tastings, refreshments and open-house activities.

Town Center’s May 2026 event listing included Barrel & Bliss Wine Bar among its participating businesses. The wine bar also appeared in subsequent event promotions during 2026.

These events are part of Town Center’s effort to bring shoppers and visitors together while showcasing its restaurants, retailers and other local businesses.

Questions remain about the closure

While the closure has been reported, several questions remain unanswered.

Neither the exact date Barrel and Bliss ceased operations nor the circumstances behind the decision have been publicly established. There has also been no confirmed announcement regarding a new tenant or plans for the former wine bar space.

As of the latest available online information, Barrel and Bliss continued to appear in the El Dorado Hills Town Center business directory. That listing may not yet reflect the closure and should not be interpreted as confirmation that the business remains open.

The departure adds another development to the ongoing evolution of El Dorado Hills Town Center, where the mix of restaurants, retail businesses and entertainment offerings continues to change.

For now, the Barrel and Bliss storefront represents another unanswered question for the local business community: What comes next for the space, and what will take its place?

INEDC will continue to follow developments concerning the closure and any announcement about the property’s future occupancy.
