El Dorado County (Jan 1, 2025) – A Lake Tahoe woman, identified as Sarah Lynn Anderson, 35, has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, including possession of an electronic stun device by a felon, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription. Anderson pleaded not guilty to these charges on Monday, December 30, 2024.
Anderson has been in custody at the Douglas County Jail since her arrest on October 27, 2024. Jail records indicate that she is also being held on a fugitive warrant issued by El Dorado County. Her trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025.
According to the Nevada Department of Corrections, Anderson previously served a four-year sentence in 2009.
In June 2022, Anderson was among several individuals arrested in South Lake Tahoe and Sacramento as part of “Operation Bear Trap,” a coordinated law enforcement effort targeting methamphetamine and heroin distribution in the area. She was charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and heroin, along with multiple counts of distribution.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office has been actively involved in addressing drug-related activities in the region. Community members are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to local law enforcement agencies.
