PLACERVILLE, Calif. — The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office (EDSO) recently hosted a specialized breaching training session for its Operations Division, collaborating with officers from neighboring law enforcement agencies. This initiative aimed to enhance tactical entry skills essential for high-risk operations.
The training incorporated a variety of breaching tools, including newly acquired equipment from Jersey Tactical Corp. Notably, the JTCCLAW tool was among the additions, selected after two years of testing and evaluation.
Forcible Entry, Inc., a company specializing in breaching training infrastructure, significantly contributed to the session by donating four breaching doors. Their support provided realistic scenarios for officers to practice and refine their entry techniques. Forcible Entry, Inc. shared footage of the training on Facebook, showcasing their Catalyst door with a new shotgun breaching addition .
The EDSO emphasized the importance of such training, stating, “The Sheriff’s Office continues to train for when the worst days happen, and complex problems need to be solved. If we can’t get in, we can’t solve the problem” .
This training underscores the EDSO’s commitment to preparedness and collaboration with regional partners to ensure public safety in critical situations.
