El Dorado County (Jan 12, 2025) – At the inaugural meeting of the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors on January 7, 2025, Supervisor George Turnboo was elected as Chair for the upcoming year. The decision followed public comments and deliberations among the five supervisors. Supervisor Brooke Laine was appointed as First Vice Chair, and Supervisor Lori Parlin as Second Vice Chair.
The meeting commenced with the swearing-in of both reelected and newly elected supervisors, marking the beginning of their respective terms.
Supervisor Turnboo, representing District 2, has been serving on the Board since 2021. His election as Chair reflects the Board’s confidence in his leadership for the coming year. Notably, the Airports Division received authorization to increase its imprest cash funds by $200, bringing the total to $300, to better manage operational expenses.
