EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. — World Traveler Coffee Roasters has sold its El Dorado Hills Town Center café for $450,000, marking a significant step in the company’s shift toward franchised operations across the region and beyond.

The transaction closed escrow on March 18, 2026, with a franchisee group that includes Ravi Bhuchara acquiring the high-traffic location at 4364 Town Center Blvd., Unit 110. According to details provided by the company, the listing drew immediate interest and went under contract within four days—an indicator of both the café’s strong customer base and the desirability of the El Dorado Hills Town Center.

“The speed of the sale reflects the strength of the brand and the location,”

a company representative said in a statement.

“We’re confident the new ownership will maintain the experience customers have come to expect.”

Operations to Remain Consistent

Despite the ownership change, patrons are unlikely to notice major differences. The incoming franchise group plans to retain the café’s existing menu, which includes specialty coffee drinks, house-made pastries, sandwiches, and salads. The shop’s distinctive European-inspired interior—marked by deep blue tones, wood accents, and a signature world map—will also remain intact.

The El Dorado Hills café has built a reputation as both a social hub and a remote-work destination, drawing steady foot traffic from residents and visitors alike.

Part of a Broader Expansion Strategy

The sale is part of a broader initiative by World Traveler Coffee Roasters to transition company-owned locations into franchise operations, a model the business formally launched in early 2024.

Under co-owners Yaniv Rosenberg and Linoy Nesher, the company has grown rapidly since its founding in 2016 as an online coffee bean retailer. It now operates multiple locations across the Sacramento region, including sites in Midtown Sacramento, Downtown Commons near the Golden 1 Center, and Westfield Galleria at Roseville, where its largest flagship café is located.

The company has also expanded into nearby markets, with a Davis location opening in late 2025 at Oakshade Town Center. Its central roasting facility remains in Roseville, where small-batch specialty coffee is produced weekly.

Additional Franchise Sales

The El Dorado Hills transaction is not an isolated move. In late March, the company also sold its Folsom café at 603 E. Bidwell St. to franchisee Zamman Farooq for $150,000, further signaling a coordinated shift toward franchised ownership.

Industry analysts note that franchising allows regional brands to scale more quickly while reducing operational overhead, particularly in competitive markets like Northern California’s specialty coffee sector.

For El Dorado Hills residents, the immediate impact appears minimal. The café will continue operating under the same brand, with the same offerings and atmosphere that have made it a staple in the Town Center.

However, the ownership transition reflects a larger trend of regional businesses adopting franchise models to fuel expansion—potentially bringing more locations, and competition, to surrounding communities.
