Excerpt:
Deputies across El Dorado County spent Memorial Day Sunday chasing disturbance calls, suspicious subjects, petty thefts and domestic violence reports from Tahoe to Cameron Park.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE

The night started with suspicious persons and ended with party calls echoing through Tahoe streets. Deputies checked out a suspicious subject on Sundown Trail before dawn and later assisted on a verbal disturbance on Cherokee Street. Search-and-rescue crews were called to Cascade Falls just before 1 p.m., adding another mountain rescue to the holiday books. By 11:35 p.m., another loud party complaint rolled in on Brule Street. Deputies arrived. Quiet on arrival.

CAMERON PARK

Cameron Park kept deputies busy from midnight to nearly midnight again. Officers checked suspicious vehicles at Bel Air Market and CVS Pharmacy before making an arrest during a suspicious subject investigation on Cimmarron Road. Verbal disturbances broke out near Cambridge and Montclair roads and later at Safeway on Coach Lane. A trespassing complaint hit Boeing Road late afternoon. The final call before midnight came from Taco Bell on Coach Lane involving another suspicious subject. Advised and cleared.

PLACERVILLE / DIAMOND SPRINGS

Missouri Flat Road lit up the radio all day long. Deputies responded to disturbances at Quick Quack Carwash, Walmart, Safeway and Westside Church. A petty theft report at SaveMart ended with paperwork and another suspicious subject call at Safeway ended in arrest. Noise complaints and suspicious circumstances rounded out the night from Chili Bar Lane to Smith Flat Road. Same old song. Different shift.

POLLOCK PINES / CAMINO

Pollock Pines deputies chased suspicious subject calls from vape shops to CVS parking lots throughout the afternoon and evening. Disturbance calls hit Forest Road and Ponderosa Mini Storage before ordinance complaints surfaced on Onyx Trail. In Camino, deputies took a domestic violence report on Puerta Del Sol Road shortly after 8:30 p.m. Report taken. Case open.

SOMERSET / GEORGETOWN / RURAL COUNTY

Civil standby calls stacked up in Somerset through midday while deputies later responded to a battery complaint on Desperado Road. Search-and-rescue crews were also dispatched near Wentworth Springs Road and the Wendell T. Robie Trail. In Grizzly Flats, deputies handled a grand theft report on Winding Way. Garden Valley logged both trespassing and disturbance calls before sunset.
