SOUTH LAKE TAHOE AREA

The heaviest charge of the day surfaced in South Lake Tahoe, where Sarah Beth Stoffle was arrested at Ramy Point and Stephens Avenue on felony child abuse and felony hit-and-run allegations. Bail totaled $75,000. Hours later, officers arrested Danielle Jeanneene Davis on Lake Tahoe Boulevard on allegations of disorderly conduct and resisting officers. Keith Richard Smith was also booked after an alcohol-related disorderly conduct arrest on Al Tahoe Boulevard. Three separate bookings kept South Lake Tahoe officers busy through the afternoon and evening. The child abuse and hit-and-run case stood out as the most serious arrest in the basin. All cases remain pending before the courts. The arrests capped a busy day for South Lake Tahoe police.

PLACERVILLE AREA

Placerville police arrested Matthew Alan Brady on Main Street on allegations of resisting officers, being under the influence of a controlled substance and violating probation. The arrest occurred during the early afternoon in the downtown corridor. Later that night, deputies arrested Mindi Annette Hannifin on Missouri Flat Road on allegations of shoplifting, felony petty theft with prior convictions and a felony probation violation. Bail was set at $25,000. The theft-related arrest became one of the county’s most significant property crime bookings of the day.
