El Dorado County Sheriff Arrests

Placerville & Main Street

The graveyard shift opened with broken glass and trouble on Front Street when Joren R. Aitkens was booked on a felony vandalism charge tied to damage topping $400. Hours later, Placerville Police scooped up Gary Paul Asher on Main Street for a probation violation and alleged possession of a controlled substance. Deputies kept the wagon rolling into the afternoon after two separate narcotics-related arrests landed on Gateway Drive. Serenity Danielle Kothe was booked on charges of controlled substance possession and unlawful paraphernalia possession, while Michael Gregory Main was booked on a paraphernalia charge from the same location. The county sheet showed the usual rhythm of a long Sierra foothill day — narcotics, probation paper, and property crime stacked shoulder-to-shoulder in the booking ledger.

Spotlight Charges

  • “Glass Breaker on Front Street” — Felony vandalism collar brings a $25,000 bail tab.
  • “Main Street Powder Bust” — Probation violator allegedly caught holding narcotics in Placerville.
  • “Gateway Drive Needle Kit” — Deputies book two in separate afternoon drug-related arrests.

Tahoe Basin & South Shore

Across the hill in the Tahoe Basin, the Highway Patrol booked Amber Honeylaice Scull in Tahoma on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle. South Lake Tahoe Police added another name to the county log when Markeise Gerald Prince was arrested near College Boulevard on charges of resisting officers and public intoxication. The arrests carried the familiar edge of tourist-town policing — stolen property, booze, and street resistance under the mountain sky.

Spotlight Charges

  • “Hot Wheels in Tahoma” — CHP books suspect in stolen vehicle case.
  • “College Corridor Drunk Tank” — Resistance and alcohol charges follow South Lake Tahoe arrest.

Jail Transfers & Out-of-County Pickups

Several arrests came through jail transfers and outside agency pickups. Elena Lenore Leon was transferred from Placer County Jail on a misdemeanor probation violation. Christopher Sanchez was booked from South Placer County Jail on a probation violation with a hefty $40,000 bail attached. The biggest paper in the stack belonged to Charles Edwin Potter, hauled in from Roseville on two felony burglary charges carrying a combined bail of $225,000. The numbers told the story plain enough — burglary still pays hard time when the cuffs finally click shut.

Spotlight Charges

  • “Roseville Burglary Beef” — Two felony burglary counts stack bail to $225,000.
  • “Probation Papers Catch Up” — Jail transfers continue pipeline into El Dorado custody.

Most Serious Arrests Spotlight

Charles Edwin Potter — Burglary Charges

Two felony burglary counts out of Roseville made Potter the highest-bail booking of the day at $225,000. Deputies listed the arrest through EDSO warrants operations after pickup in Placer County.

Travis Cain Kurpieski — Felony Domestic Violence

Late-night deputies responded to Johntown Creek Road where Kurpieski was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or dating partner. Bail was listed at $75,000, including an informational hold attached to the incident.

Amber Honeylaice Scull — Stolen Vehicle Possession

Tahoma deputies and CHP logged a felony possession of a stolen vehicle case shortly after 3 a.m., adding another auto-related arrest to the Tahoe corridor.
