The clock struck midnight with deputies rolling on a verbal dust-up on Spruce Avenue in Pollock Pines, but by arrival, the tempers had cooled and the crowd dispersed. A short time later, a suspicious vehicle drew a stop at the Shingle Springs Park & Ride — nothing but talk, no arrest. Dawn brought a shadowed figure near Cameron Oaks Apartments in Cameron Park; gone before the first cup of coffee. Around noon, a trespass call on Faith Lane had deputies knocking; no resistance, handled in service. The afternoon boiled over when a suspicious subject at Target on Missouri Flat Road wound up in cuffs — the only arrest logged before sunset. A battery report followed in El Dorado Hills, then a second at Sly Park Resort, both logged and filed for follow-up. By nightfall, the county saw a grand theft call in El Dorado Hills and a domestic violence doubleheader — one in Placerville, another in Cameron Park — both ending in written reports and heavy hearts. Just before midnight, a suspicious circumstance on Encina Drive capped the day — deputies assisted, and the radio finally went quiet.
