Georgetown Fire Heroes Honored as Employees of the Year

Georgetown, CA (July 4, 2024) – In a heartwarming ceremony at the Georgetown Fire Board meeting on June 27, Georgetown Fire Chief Glenn Brown, Jeremiah Norrell, Susan Johnson, and El Dorado County Emergency Services Authority Executive Director Bill Sugiyama gathered for a celebratory photo.

Johnson and Norrell were honored as Georgetown Fire’s Emergency Medical Services Employees of the Year by the county ESA. Their commendable actions during a mass casualty vehicle accident on July 9, 2023, at the entrance to Quintette on Wentworth Springs Road earned them this recognition.
