  • Diamond Springs Parkway Phase 1B: Set to begin in May 2025, this project will introduce a new four-lane arterial roadway with concrete curbs, gutters, Class II bike lanes, and sidewalks on both sides. Rafael Martinez, the County’s Director of Transportation, emphasized the importance of these developments, stating, “We want the traveling public to better understand the how and why behind the construction projects they’ve been seeing for the last couple years and will continue to see as DOT works to make that area safer.”

Martinez also noted that temporary traffic controls and detours will be necessary during ongoing construction to ensure the safety of motorists and workers.
