PLACERVILLE AREA

The day opened just after midnight on Highway 50 near Cambridge Road, where deputies arrested Jay L. Tappy on a felony narcotics charge alleging possession of a controlled substance with two or more prior convictions. He was booked into custody with bail set at $25,000. Hours later, in Placerville, deputies arrested Michael Benjamin Myers on suspicion of violating a domestic violence court order. Authorities booked him into custody with bail also set at $25,000. The arrest occurred on Main Street in the heart of the city. Two arrests, two separate cases, and a combined bail amount of $50,000 marked the day’s activity in the county seat. Deputies reported both suspects remained in custody following booking. The incidents remain separate investigations.

SHINGLE SPRINGS AREA

At Red Hawk Parkway, tribal police arrested Isaiah Louie Parra on a misdemeanor battery charge. Authorities booked Parra into custody with bail set at $5,000. The arrest stemmed from an incident at the Red Hawk property during the early morning hours. Tribal police handled the initial arrest before booking into county jail. No injuries were listed in the booking report. The case remains pending in court. The arrest rounded out a three-case day spanning the western slope of El Dorado County.
