EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. — A wet weather system will bring rain and thunderstorms to much of El Dorado County beginning tonight and extending through Saturday, with flood-prone areas especially encouraged to take precautionary measures now.

Tonight: Cloudy skies with a chance of rain showers in the evening. After midnight, showers and possible thunderstorms are likely. Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s to mid-60s.

Friday: Mostly cloudy. Morning showers and thunderstorms are possible, followed by intermittent rain and a chance of storms into the afternoon. Highs will range from the upper 60s through the low 80s.

Friday Night: Mostly clear. A slight chance of showers or thunderstorms remains in the evening. Lows will dip again into the mid-50s to mid-60s.

Saturday and Beyond: Conditions begin to improve. Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s. Clear nights and warmer Sundays and Mondays follow.
