Young is accused of starting three separate fires in the area of Fort Jim Road and Newtown Road in Placerville earlier that day. The arrest came after a rapid response from firefighters who managed to extinguish each fire within 20 minutes, containing the burn area to less than a quarter acre.

The arrest follows an initial investigation that determined all fires were deliberately set. Young was taken into custody and booked into the El Dorado County Jail on multiple counts of arson involving structures and forest land. She is currently being held without bail.
