PLACERVILLE, Calif. — Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises Inc. (MORE) is recognizing El Dorado County Superintendent of Schools Ed Manansala for nearly a decade of service as a member of its Board of Directors, highlighting his longstanding commitment to expanding opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout El Dorado County.
The recognition, featured in MORE’s latest Board Member Spotlight, celebrates Manansala’s years of volunteer leadership and his contributions both before and after joining the organization’s governing board.
According to MORE, Manansala first became involved through community partnerships and fundraising efforts long before accepting a board position. One of those early contributions came through his Leadership El Dorado class, which organized a fundraising campaign that helped establish and improve MORE’s computer room, providing clients with greater access to technology and workforce development resources.
As El Dorado County Superintendent of Schools, Manansala has brought experience in educational leadership, strategic planning and community advocacy to the nonprofit’s board, helping guide its mission while strengthening connections between local education, employers and community organizations.
“The MORE clients, leadership, and team have always been an inspiration to me,” Manansala said in a statement released by the organization. “The opportunity to champion the mission of MORE as a Board member was a privilege and honor.”
MORE officials said Manansala’s leadership has helped advance the organization’s commitment to full inclusion while supporting programs that empower individuals with disabilities to live, work and participate fully in their communities.
Community members also praised Manansala’s service.

Founded in El Dorado County, MORE has served the region for decades by providing employment services, vocational training, day programs and community integration opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The nonprofit works alongside local businesses, government agencies and community partners to promote independence, dignity and meaningful employment.
